As promised in last weeks post, I am moving ahead in my career so much that I am now working out of an office now (no more freelance bedroom comfort life). With such an environment I can’t exactly hang out in my fashion sweats, therefore I opt for business casual. While my boots are the key piece in my outfit, throwing on a button down and nice pair of jeans make office life easy. Truly, three pieces are all an outfit really needs sometimes.

London (Camden and Brick)

Today is my first anniversary with Beth (and my first ever anniversary). We decided to celebrate by treating ourselves to three nights in a Chelsea hotel, giving us two/three days of going around and shopping.

Yesterday we spent the day in Camden Lock/Market, enjoying the food, music and stalls. I was actually quite disappointed with the array of menswear all being very expensive (bar T-shirts). However, I did find a beautiful leather jacket that I wish I had £150 to spend on (picture later). Beth found a million and one things to get but overall, without a lot of money Camden Market is not the place for menswear.

Today we are spending the day at the vintage markets on Brick Lane. I’m incredibly excited as it’s the perfect place to find hidden gems and just spend the day browsing a huge selection of vintage menswear. If all else fails, I can always head to Oxford Street! Hopefully later on I’ll have some pictures of purchases to show you all.

If any of you guys are around, come and say hello!

A Quick Promise

So time to time I neglect Tumblr, many people do it but I just go through phases of going nuts on here and then often I become so silent that to you guys, it probably seems like I’m hiding under a rock in Taiwan. Due to this epic failure to adhere to the responsibilities of a menswear blogger, I have decided to promise you all something.

Every week from now on, I will post at least one picture of myself, with my outfit explained (I’ll try and make it interesting). Alongside this, at least once a week I will also put up a text post. This may be analysing a trend, a photo or just a particular style that I’ve seen a lot or something. It could be a trend tip or a ‘what not to wear’ kind of thing. However it turns out, it will happen.

So that’s my promise, one photo of me and one text post. I hope you enjoy it as much as I will enjoy doing it.

O&U.

Overdressed & Underprepared

Overdressed & Underprepared is a menswear style blog that I (Raffles, 20) started in September 2011. I focus on what I love in the menswear fashion world which entails a lot of suits and street-style pictures that tend to have a quirky element. Furthermore, there will posts of myself and any style related pictures I take whenever possible.

Currently I'm a student of Southampton Solent University studying Fashion Management with Marketing. My firm belief is that style is in the eye of the beholder; what looks amazing to one person can look like garbage to another, that should never be forgotten.

Thank you for visiting, I hope you return.
